Alyssa Rueckert (she, her)

Hey! I’m an actor, poet, and musician based in Seattle and a member of the Western Washington University Class of 2023, where I’ve earned a BA in Theatre Performance, a BA in English Creative Writing, and a minor in Ancient Greek. If I could’ve squeezed even more degrees into four years I would have, believe me.

I am a frequent collaborator with Kitchen Sink Theatre Company and playwright Jessica Moreland, having performed in KSTC’s productions of her plays Good Water and Thread as well as the Unsubdued Theatre Collective’s production of Clytemnestra Has Blood on Her Hands, where I originated the role of Iphigenia.

I believe that art—the choice to search within ourselves, to seek connection, and to share our life and love with the world—is the most important thing that we as human beings can do. I believe that it is what makes us human. I am lucky enough to spend my time spreading the joy of living in this world and all of the hardships that come with it—whether it be through song, lyric, laughter, or tragedy—with my local community and beyond.
